Will You Be There Tribute

I don't know about you but I am still not over the fact that Michael is gone. What I love more than anything is that the black community has been showing the King of pop so much love since his passing on June 25 of this year.

Michael said he wanted to be immortal through his music. Mission accomplish. His music and legacy will live on forever as the tributes & rememberance continue.

Whitney Houston, Usher,Wyclef and other artists are set to remake Michael's "Will You Be There" tribute. All of the proceeds from the track will go to the Larry King Cardiac Foundation and another charity.



We know Michael was the greatest entertainer that ever lived but he was a humanitarian and not only did he give inspiring music to the world, but embodied the spirit of giving.

Michael's Last Rehearsal

Footage was released today of the King of Pop's final rehearsal. He was practicing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on June 23, 2 days before he died, for his 50 date residency at the O2 arena in London.

Michael Jackson's will filed as of July 1, 2009. The megastar's estate is worth $500,000,000.00 in non-monetary assets. The rest of Michael's monetary earnings are to go for the care of his children. Katherine Jackson has been named the sole guardian of Michael's three children and Diana Ross was named alternative guardian.

The family also released a statement dispelling the rumors that a public and private viewing of the late King will be held at Neverland Ranch this Friday.

That rumor didn't initially make sense to me because Neverland has been vacant for quite sometime. Flair will keep you posted on more Jackson news as it unfolds.

Janet Jackson Takes BET stage

Janet Jackson took the stage at the 2009 BET Awards on Sunday to speak on behalf of the Jackson family after her brother, the incomparable Michael Jackson, died suddenly on Thursday June 25th in his home. Joe Jackson, father of the Jackson clan, also made a appearance front row at the awards.





Host Jamie Fox, who paid tribute to Michael throughout the evening with impromptu Michael-esq moves and wardrobe, escorted Janet to the microphone where she said an emotional thank you to fans for their support. Check out the video.



The entire show paid homage to the greatest entertainer that ever lived with performances from New Edition including Bobby Brown who opened the show with a J5 medley, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo who sang his rendition of Lady in My Life, and Ciara sang Heal the World. Jay-Z took the stage as well as Beyonce, Souljah Boy, Keysha Cole, Wayne, Drake, Monica and Maxwell. Michael made his way into every performance whether it was an outfit, song or just a simple "we love you".














There was an energy throughout the show; a spirit that could only encompass the man himself. Michael paved the way for every artists there. His influence on pop culture and music is undeniable and his legacy will live on forever. Michael said in an interview with Ebony magazine that he wanted to be immortal through his art. Fulfilled. King of Pop Michael Jackson dies at 50

TMZ originally broke the story earlier today that King of Pop icon Michael Jackson was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after an apparent cardiac arrest in his home. Paramedics attempted to issue CPR, but Mr. Jackson was unresponsive. His entire family made their way to the hospital. Body guards had to be aggressive in warding of panicked fans and relentless paparazzi. After falling into a coma, he was pronounced dead at 2:26pm. His brother Jermaine Jackson issued a statment.

No need to go over his resume because it's self explanatory. He was the best that ever did it; the greatest entertainer in the world. He once said he wanted to be immortal and his dream is realized through his artistry, his creative genius, his entertaining prowess and the memories he left us. FlairTV would like send condolences to his 3 children, family, friends and fans. Mr. Jackson wherever you are thank you for the music and thank you more for using your self as an instrument for peace, love and giving in order to make the world a better place. Is This Really It!?! Michael Jackson Mayhem

It would be appropriate to call Michael Jackson the most famous entertainer on earth. He's been in the spotlight since the age of six; a musical genius culminating from a strict upbringing, creative prowess and God given talent. From his days in the Jackson Five with his brothers to his illustrious solo career, Michael Jackson has sold millions of albums.

The last tour for Jackson was the History tour back in the late 90s. According to the All Michael Jackson website, during the HIStory tour, "Michael performed 82 concerts in 58 cities to over 4.5 million fans. The HIStory Tour visited 5 continents and 35 countries". Michael is a force to be reckoned with on stage and no matter what people think or say about him, he was born to entertain. As we all are too aware, along with success comes controversey and Jackson has certainly has his fair share. As Chris Rock said, "No household has not had the "Michael Jackson" discussion".

It would even seem that rumor and inuendo have clouded his true contributions to music. A friend of mine once said to me over hot chocolate admist 'Don't Stop Till You Get Enough' blaring over the radio, "Michael's life is interesting and I may not agree with his lifestyle, but to see him live, on stage, would be beyond amazing." This is a sentiment that many can attest to. The man, the myth, the legend, the face, the voice of the biggest selling album of all time, Thriller, is not someone to be missed. Wouldn't it be a wonder to see him grace the stage again, singing the hits, bringing back nostalgia to vintage fans and amazement to the new ones?

Well in March of this year Michael decided to announce his comeback. Could the 50 year old King of Pop set precedence like he once did? Could he prove his critics wrong? Has being on trial for child molestation twice (the first resulting in an undisclosed settlement to the alleged victim and the second case went to trial to which he was exonerated) along with other allegations and speculations caused people to discredit his once seemingly unbreakable popularity. Well in a nutshell, the announcement made by Michael in March for his 'This Is It' tour to kick off in July 2009 created a fire storm. What started out as 10 shows to be performed at the O2 arena in London, had to quickly be extended to 50 shows to meet high demand in which all 50 shows sold out. The O2 seats 20,000 concert-goers. Therefore, a million tickets were sold out in hours. Michael Jackson's impending O2 residency has fans all over the world gleaming with joy at the chance to see 'the greatest entertainer on earth' ; making their gloves, pulling out the red and black 'Billie Jean' jackets. You know you had one! Remember the footage of the girls fainting, crying and praying in the front row - the pandemonium.

HIStory always repeats itself. No pun intended. Well, maybe a little. I heard someone say Murphy's law should be changed to Michael's law. Wherever he goes trouble follows. He has several lawsuits pending, per usual; a rumor of skin cancer and now to add the icing to the cake concert dates have been pushed back. The concert changes are as follows:

July 8th 2009, which was opening night, has been moved to July 13th 2009.
July 10, 2009 has been pushed to March 1, 2010.
July 12, 2009 to March 3, 2010 and
July 14th, 2009 to March 10, 2010 (last show) this is according to ticketmaster.co.uk and AEG Live who is presenting the tour.

According to ticketmaster, http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/, if any ticket holders cannot make any of those revised dates they have to contact customer service before June 19, 2009...*sigh*. My heart breaks a bit for those that purchased tickets and made travel arrangements around the day they thought they would attend. Refunding airline tickets is quite a hastle if your not ill or expecting. The following statement was released Tuesday:

Randy Phillips, President and CEO, AEG Live who are organising the concerts said: 'Kenny [Ortega][director and choreographer]and Michael are, at the same time, both creative pioneers and perfectionists.
'This show has grown in size and scope, thereby, necessitating more lead time for manufacture of the set, programming the content for the massive video elements, and, most importantly, more time for full production and dress rehearsals.'
