Chrisette Michelle
So I know that I am constantly craving new music. Well not just new music, but GOOD music. There is nothing like listening to a real love song or a song's lyrics and composition that seem to whisper to your soul; pure, substantial, memorable.
Flair would like to put the spotlight on an artist who's music encompasses all of these things. In line with Etta James, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, our generation has Chrisette Michelle.
In the follow up to her debut album 'I Am', Michelle's second solo album 'Epiphany' debut at no. 1, on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 83,000 copies the first week. The daughter of a deacon father and choir director mother, Chrisette's vocal range is soulful, melodic and intoxicating. The title track from the album 'Epiphany' is blazing and getting continuos airplay.
Go get the album!! No questions. It is unbelievable and heartful from a young woman who just embodies raw talent. Here's the official video for 'Epiphany'.

Miss Rhi Rhi
The young starlet that is Miss Rihanna has been under the microscope these days as she is undoubtedly dealing with alot in her life. On a lighter not, paving the way to be the next fashion icon is not out of her reach. She always manages to look super gorgeous. She was seen leaving her good friend Kanye West's Manhattan dwelling in this sexy frock. Am I the only one loving the bouffant? So 60s retro. It is beautiful chaos!!
Memorial Day Treats
Ok so everyone knows that Memorial Day kicks off the summer. What do we expect? Barbeques and more barbeques. Of course there will be the essentials - chicken, ribs, burgers, hotdogs, spaghetti, potato salad, yada, yada, yada. How about throwing some fruit and veggies on the grill too. It's simple! It's healthy! It's tastey!
So you're ready to grill some fruit. Flair wants to give you a few tips for your Memorial day cookout. Fruits such as pineapples, pears, plums, and apples are hard textured fruits and very easy to grill. However, grilling soft fruits like bananas, mangos, peaches and papayas requires a bit more attention. They will turn to mush if overcooked. Softer fruits only need to be heated which can take less than 10 seconds. To prevent the fruit from sticking to the grill, you can baste the fruit with melted butter, a non-stick vegetable oil or marinade. If you want to add a burst of flavor marinating your fruit, hard or soft, is the key. The best marinade would probably be the puree' of the fruit itself with a hint of lemon juice.
However, bottled puree's can also be purchased at the market or grocery store. Brushing your fruit with your chosen marinade while it's still on the grill adds to the flavor as well. So you've decided to grill peaches,eh? Buy a few at the market, rinse them thouroughly, cut them in half, remove the pit, marinade them and grill for a few seconds. Voila!! To really give them a flavor boost, try drizzling honey on them...yum! How about fruit-kabobs? You can place the smaller pieces of fruit on skewers while the larger pieces remain on the grill. Satisfy your pallet by pairing your delicious grilled fruit with grilled chicken breasts. The herbs and spices of the chicken blended with the sweetness of the fruit will not disappoint. Trust me! The doctor always said eat your fruits AND vegetables, so don't forget those. Season up your veggies with lemon pepper and garlic salt. Adding seasonings like red pepper or Mrs. Dash Extra Spicey Seasoning Blend can give your veggies a spicey kick. Be sure to put vegetable oil over them and add thyme leaves, rosemary leaves or both on the skewers along with the vegetables to really give it a taste of fabulousness. It's whatever you like. Go ahead get to grilling. Adding fruits and veggies will add FLAIR to your memorial day menu. Grill fabu!!
FlairTV would like to wish everyone a safe Memorial Day!! Happy eating!

Is This Really It!?! Michael Jackson Mayhem
It would be appropriate to call Michael Jackson the most famous entertainer on earth. He's been in the spotlight since the age of six; a musical genius culminating from a strict upbringing, creative prowess and God given talent. From his days in the Jackson Five with his brothers to his illustrious solo career, Michael Jackson has sold millions of albums.
The last tour for Jackson was the History tour back in the late 90s. According to the All Michael Jackson website, during the HIStory tour, "Michael performed 82 concerts in 58 cities to over 4.5 million fans. The HIStory Tour visited 5 continents and 35 countries". Michael is a force to be reckoned with on stage and no matter what people think or say about him, he was born to entertain. As we all are too aware, along with success comes controversey and Jackson has certainly has his fair share. As Chris Rock said, "No household has not had the "Michael Jackson" discussion".

As we all are too aware, along with success comes controversey and Jackson has certainly has his fair share. As Chris Rock said, "No household has not had the "Michael Jackson" discussion".
It would even seem that rumor and inuendo have clouded his true contributions to music. A friend of mine once said to me over hot chocolate admist 'Don't Stop Till You Get Enough' blaring over the radio, "Michael's life is interesting and I may not agree with his lifestyle, but to see him live, on stage, would be beyond amazing." This is a sentiment that many can attest to. The man, the myth, the legend, the face, the voice of the biggest selling album of all time, Thriller, is not someone to be missed. Wouldn't it be a wonder to see him grace the stage again, singing the hits, bringing back nostalgia to vintage fans and amazement to the new ones?
Well in March of this year Michael decided to announce his comeback. Could the 50 year old King of Pop set precedence like he once did? Could he prove his critics wrong? Has being on trial for child molestation twice (the first resulting in an undisclosed settlement to the alleged victim and the second case went to trial to which he was exonerated) along with other allegations and speculations caused people to discredit his once seemingly unbreakable popularity. Well in a nutshell, the announcement made by Michael in March for his 'This Is It' tour to kick off in July 2009 created a fire storm. What started out as 10 shows to be performed at the O2 arena in London, had to quickly be extended to 50 shows to meet high demand in which all 50 shows sold out. The O2 seats 20,000 concert-goers. Therefore, a million tickets were sold out in hours. Michael Jackson's impending O2 residency has fans all over the world gleaming with joy at the chance to see 'the greatest entertainer on earth' ; making their gloves, pulling out the red and black 'Billie Jean' jackets. You know you had one! Remember the footage of the girls fainting, crying and praying in the front row - the pandemonium.

HIStory always repeats itself. No pun intended. Well, maybe a little. I heard someone say Murphy's law should be changed to Michael's law. Wherever he goes trouble follows. He has several lawsuits pending, per usual; a rumor of skin cancer and now to add the icing to the cake concert dates have been pushed back. The concert changes are as follows:
July 8th 2009, which was opening night, has been moved to July 13th 2009.
July 10, 2009 has been pushed to March 1, 2010.
July 12, 2009 to March 3, 2010 and
July 14th, 2009 to March 10, 2010 (last show) this is according to ticketmaster.co.uk and AEG Live who is presenting the tour.
According to ticketmaster, http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/, if any ticket holders cannot make any of those revised dates they have to contact customer service before June 19, 2009...*sigh*. My heart breaks a bit for those that purchased tickets and made travel arrangements around the day they thought they would attend. Refunding airline tickets is quite a hastle if your not ill or expecting. The following statement was released Tuesday:

Michael is a devoted perfectionist till the end. As the summer progresses we'll see what happens. FlairTV wishes Michael nothing but continued success and all the best with this tour. We hope the fans can checkmark a dream fulfilled. Flair has an eye out!!
